About Me

k de Wees
Katrina De Wees is a Brooklyn born, raised and based interdisciplinary artist, writer, educator and curator working in dance, performance, video/film and text. She has presented her artistic work at Dixon Place (NY), Club La Mama (NY), Les Champs Mélisey (France), and Escola de Teatro (Brazil), among others. She completed her BA in Interdiscipinary Arts at Hampshire College with a concentration on Black Performative Arts as Liberation and a thesis comprised of a series of performances about black women and intergenerational trauma. She has also completed a graduate certificate in Curating Performance at Wesleyan University.
